The Hydrogel screen protector seems to work fine. It is a lot thinner that a glass protector so is less intrusive and I don't notice it when handling the phone. My only gripe is that it was a little difficult to work out exactly how to fit it, as the instructional video was about 5 years old and a slightly different product. I worked it out in the end after an online chat. I had to lift it up and reposition it a couple of times to get it positioned properly and ended up with a few small bubbles that I couldn't move - however 3 days later they were all gone. On the Pixel you can change a screen sensitivity setting for a screen protector but I didn't need to do that. Overall I am quite pleased with the Hydrogel
